After a brief teasing of sunshine we’ve enjoyed a wet and cold few weeks which can only mean one thing…summer’s on the way!
As the months fly by make sure you don’t miss these deadlines 👇
📅 30th June – Stamp Duty Holiday Changes
Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s initiative to boost the property market by suspending Stamp Duty on the first £500,000 of sales was extended to the end of June. On 1st July, the nil rate band will drop to £250,000, and will drop again to £125,000 in October.
📅 31st July – Self Employed Payment on Account Deadline
The second advance payment for self employed is due by 31st July. Miss this deadline and you’ll be hit with a £100 fine. HMRC may allow you to set up a payment plan if the pandemic has affected your finances
📅 30th September – Furlough Scheme ends
The furlough scheme is due to run until the end of September, but employers will be asked to contribute 10% of workers salaries in July, and 20% in August and September.
📅 31st October – Self Assessment Deadline (Post)
Submitting your self-assessment tax return by post means you have an earlier deadline to meet than you would by submitting it online. Avoid getting hit with a fine by allowing plenty of time to complete and submit your tax return for 20/21.
